Duas vercoes de mosmo molde (ainda por acabar)... Um pela Celeste (todo a mao) e o mais claro pela Anabela (todo a maquina) ... TRABALHO DE PACIENCIA. // Two versions of the same pattern (still not finished)... One by Celeste (all by hand) and the lighter one by Anabela (all machine pieced)... A WORK OF PATIENCE.

Este motivo faz parte da pintura decorativa de um prato... LINDO! Foi feito por TIAGO PRACA (96 262 7008) - achei lindos of motivos de patchwork usados nas mais variadas pecas de loica. Adoro as cores. // This design is part of the decorative painting on a plate... BEAUTIFUL! It was made by TIAGO PRACA (96 262 7008) I think the patchwork designs used in the various pieces beautiful. I loved the COLORS.
O quilt da Dna. Manuela
A Dna. Manuela anda inspirada novamente... Finalmente encontrou os tecidos azuis perfeitos para o quilt de que tanto fala (Irish chain)... Desta vez, nao quer mostrar sem acabar (pode levar anos)... Mas por em quanto, o trabalhinho esta a andar bem. Quem diria que a minha mae ia conseguir costurar tao devagarinho (numa maquina industrial) e ter tanto cuidado com as bainhas de 1/4". // Mrs. Manuela is inspired... Finaly found the perfect blues for the quilt she so longed to make (Irish chain)... This time she doesn't want to show anyone what she made until she finishes (this could take years)... But, for now, the work is going well. Who would guess that my mother was able to sew SO slow (on an industrial machine) and carefully in order to obtain the 1/4" seams.

O PRIMEIRO trabalho da Sofia... Para quem não sabia LIGAR a maquina de costura, para não falar de enfiar ou coser... fez um trabalho SUPREMO! Sofia´s FIRST project... For someone that didn´t know how to turn ON the sewing machine, not to mention thread it or sew, she did a SUPERB JOB!

Quero agradecer as senhoras que ajudaram com o tecido que faltava para acabar o ´primeiro´quilt da Celeste. TODO FEITO a mão. A celeste já fez outros trabalhos de patchwork entretanto, mas esta agora prestes a acabar o que deu inicio a este ´vicio´. Penso que este será o ULTIMO trabalho da Celeste a mão, visto que já anda com um (ou dois) olho na BERNINA. Want to thank the ladies that helped with the rest of the fabric necessary to finish Celeste´s FIRST quilt. ALL PIECED BY HAND. Celeste has made other patchwork projects since she started this one, but this is the one that started the addiction. I think this will be her LAST by hand, as he´s had her eye (or two) on the BERNINA.

This quilt is being pieced by a VERY dedicated customer (Marina) that every other Wednesday gets up at 5 a.m. so that she can travel from TOMAR all the way to LARANJEIRO for the 10 a.m. patchwork class... WHAT DEDICATION!!! Este Quilt está a ser ´montado´ por uma cliente (a Marina) MUITO dedicada. Levanta-se da cama as 5 da manha de 15 em 15 dias para poder viajar de TOMAR até ao Laranjeiro para poder participar nas aulas de Patchwork que iniciam as 10 da manha. QUE DEDICAÇÃO!!!!

Tenho o prazer de apresentar a PRIMEIRA cliente do Arco-Iris a Metro (www.arcoirisametro.com) - A Dna. Paula.
Ja tinha feito um quilt a maquina nas nossas primeiras aulas (a quase 6 anos), mas trico e a sua paixao. Entretanto, fez um quilt todo a mao, mas ao acabar pensou ´Nunca Mais´! No entanto depois de participar nas NOVAS aulas de patchwork entusiamou novamente, e penso que trucou as agulhas de malha pela nova BERNINA. I have the pleasure of introducing Arco Iris´very first customer, Dna. Paula.
She made her first quilt in our very first patchwork classes (almost 6 years ago), but she didn´t get along with the sewing machine, knitting is her passion. In the meantime, she made a whole quilt by hand, and thought ´NEVER AGAIN`! But, after participating in the NEW patchwork classes, I think she finally traded the knitting needles in for the NEW BERNINA!
